Personal Accident Insurance

The subject of insurance is the health and life of the insured person.

A bicycle, electric bicycle or scooter powered by electricity or human muscle.

The insurance applies in the event of bodily injury or death as a result of an accident while using a micromobility vehicle (bicycle, electric bike, scooter, or e-scooter).

The Insurer’s liability excludes events resulting from:

• intentional act of the Insured or intentional act of a person with whom the Insured lives in the same household;
• gross negligence of the Insured, unless the performance of the benefit is equitable in the given circumstances;

• intentional self-harm of the Insured, suicide of the Insured or attempted suicide;

• acts of war, armed operations, coup, strike, riot, uprising, civil unrest, rebellion, Acts of terrorism or radioactive or nuclear radiation, if this had an impact on the occurrence of the Insured Event;

• the Insured committed an intentional crime confirmed on the basis of a final court judgement or attempted to commit a crime;

• consumption of alcohol, narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, substitutes or new psychoactive substances within the meaning of the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction, if this had an impact on the occurrence of the Insured Event;

• as a result of the use of biological or chemical materials, substances or components in order to pose a threat to human life or health;

• as a result of taking drugs not prescribed by a doctor, the effects of drugs used contrary to medical recommendations or indications for their use, provided that the behavior causing the damage was in a direct cause-and-effect relationship with the consumption of these substances;

• events resulting from any medical conditions of the Insured, including the consequences of chronic diseases or mental diseases;

• natural disasters in connection with which a state of natural disaster has been declared in a given area;

• high-risk sports;

• practicing competitive or professional sports;

• mental illnesses;

• chronic diseases;

• active and unlawful participation of the Insured in riots, social unrest, acts of sabotage and attacks;

• performing police or military service, or in an auxiliary or civilian unit operating within the army, or as a result of performing the work of a firefighter, municipal (municipal) guard, Border Guard officer or serving in the Volunteer Fire Department;

• accidents in air traffic, this does not apply to situations where the Insured participated in them as a pilot, cabin crew employee (e.g. stewardess) or passenger of a passenger aircraft of a licensed airline;
• performance of stunt tasks by the Insured.
