About Cachet
What is Cachet?
Cachet is the adaptive insurance infrastructure supporting the platform economy. It re-designs coverage into a living system, adapted around you, supported by the tools to prevent loss long-term. So that insurance works for the platforms and people it protects. It sits between digital platforms and the insurance market, providing the technology layer that makes real-time, adaptive insurance possible at scale. Enabling mobility operators, gig marketplaces, and asset-sharing services.
What services does Cachet offer?
Cachet offers adaptive insurance for the platform economy. For platform operators: coverage for car fleets, car-sharing, e-scooters, e-bikes, cargo bikes, and other micromobility assets. For gig workers: active-hours coverage for ride-hailing drivers, couriers, and delivery riders. The platform also includes modules for claims reporting, vehicle booking and rental, driver behaviour analytics, and parking management.
What is the platform economy and why does it need different insurance?
The platform economy is work and commerce organised through digital platforms: ride-hailing, food delivery, car-sharing, courier networks. Workers in this space have irregular hours, work across multiple platforms, and move between vehicle types. Standard insurance wasn't built for that variability. It creates coverage gaps and inaccurate pricing. That's the problem Cachet was built to fix.
What is adaptive insurance?
Insurance that adjusts based on what's actually happening, not what happened last year. Coverage and pricing reflect whether an asset is active or idle, what kind of work is being done, and what your real-world risk picture looks like. No fixed annual premium applied regardless of reality.
How is Cachet different from a traditional insurance broker?
A traditional broker arranges a policy and checks in at renewal. Cachet integrates with how your platform actually operates, so coverage adjusts as conditions change and risk is flagged before it becomes a claim. More visibility, more control, less lag between what's happening in your business and what your insurance reflects.
Where does Cachet operate?
Cachet is headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, and currently serves clients across Europe. We hold an insurance distribution licence passported across all EU member states, which enables us to operate across borders and expand into new markets as demand grows. We continue to actively expand our geographic footprint.
What is Cachet's mission?
Cachet's mission is to de-risk the platform economy and enable its growth through smarter, fairer insurance. By transforming insurance from a cost into a growth-driving advantage, we want to make the future system supporting mobility and work live up to its promise.
What are Cachet's values?
Fairness is at the core of everything we do. We believe insurance should reflect who you actually are and how you actually work, not who a statistical table says you might be. We believe in the power of data to create better outcomes for everyone in the chain: workers, operators, and insurers alike. And we believe that building trust in the platform economy is not just good business. It's the right thing to do.
